Miles to the Sea

02

DAWN TO DUST is a visual diary from my recent ride to Danushkodi on my Africa Twin, where the road slowly gives way to wind, salt, and open sky. The day began in soft, coastal dawns, with fishing boats floating like quiet punctuation marks on a restless sea. As the light shifted, the landscape turned raw and minimal, long horizons, pale water, and a shoreline that feels like it is constantly being rewritten.

Between the surf and the silence, Danushkodi’s ruins stood like time-worn frames, brick, sand, and broken arches holding stories without words. The lighthouse and the abandoned structures added a stark contrast to the calm, making every composition feel both peaceful and haunting. This series is about movement and stillness, a motorcycle, a coastline, and the delicate transition from first light to windblown dust.
